Role: Designer

A cornerstone of Green Meadows' mission is to cultivate organic, quality cannabis as an opioid-alternative to PTSD patients. Launching Green Meadows' medical-use program was a top priority that required customer education across social media and printed materials. In particular, the Patient Handbook is a tool to provide to each medical-use patient when they step into Green Meadows seeking relief.

Process
Chaos Mode
Feedback leads to generative chaos mode–in this case, rearranging the pages to highlight the origin story of the brand.

Chaos mode is mess upfront to save time (& sanity) later.
Chaos Mode
Refine
Working from big picture to the details. In this stage, the decisions can be about what design elements make absorbing heavy text intuitive for a reader.

Refine
I love color coding to structure information combined with splashy spreads to keep reader's interested. Each section is built to give the reader an easy path through dense material.
Outline
The Patient Handbook design focuses on accessible, organized information that keeps cannabis fun & friendly. The process of translating a clients document–chalk-full of text and information–can best start collaboratively with the help of a visual outline.

Not every project needs an in-depth outline, but even rough sketches can help to discover what is most important to a client. Later, this initial consensus gives me more freedom to make bold design decisions.
